    4S 

    Apple has established a certain system of releasing a product in every hmnhm months. Though everybody, including Hitler, expected the coming of the iPhone of the fifth version, Apple unrevealed the iPhone 4s. So what good does the new phone have, that customers should choose this model over any other awesome smartphone out there.

    First of all to eliminate any other model, except the ones Apple provides, is the existence of iOS or even better, the iOS 5. This OS is just pure candy, it works smooth and has many features which make the usage of iDevices even more likeable. To this day I haven’t seen any other OS with the same level of user friendliness and smoothness.

    The new iPhone is also equipped with the new voice command app named Siri. This is a very amazing app that lets you control your iPhone with words, as any other voice command app would do. But Siri is different, it interacts with you, it responds to you, it writes your email and so on, it’s just amazing. Because of this single element I would buy this phone.

    Right now this phone represents the highest peak of where smartphones can evolve, so the importance in acquiring is purely up to the person. Do they want to use the best technological gadgets out there, or can they enjoy the fruits of the somewhat less awesome tech gadgets.

    iPhone four Steve! 

    As many of you may know a new product is soon to be unveiled by Apple the new iPhone 4s. People may wonder what is so special about this one then. Well hold on to your socks because your in for one hell of a ride. The iPhone for Steve is a revolutionary device with lots of new updated that make the previous ones inferior. The most noteworthy upgrade would be the usage of an artificial assistant named SIRI. Basically what this means is that the user will be constantly connected to his phone and will never forget things either. SIRI will make sure that all of your notifications and reminders are done on time, your messages received as soon as possible and so on. Productivity will go through the roof if you have a device that can actually organize everything on your daily schedule and help you keep track of various events. It sure as hell beats hiring a secretary with a monthly fee. The second new and impressive feature would be the new cloud that Apple has adopted the iCloud. Finally Apple also has a cloud that stores all of your necessary information such as mails, contacts, music, videos, documents and so on in a safe location just in case you loose something. So technically now you cannot loose any data because it is all stored in Apples servers and can be accessed form anywhere at any time. It is most definitely a great improvement in convenience and information safety. The iPhone 4 Steve also has a new and better processor. The A5 processor chip is the same one the iPad 2 is using which means that this device is extremely fast and handles graphics and multiple processing much better than the previous versions. The processing speed and also internet browsing is just breath taking. The new phone also has an improved camera of 8 MP which lets the user record full HD videos and take high quality pictures so it can be said that it replaces a good digital camera. The new lens on the camera adds more contrast and better quality to the picture and also has improved face detection. Thanks to all of these new updates it would seem that purchasing this new phone is a must for anybody who wants to stay up to date with the best product money can buy. It looks like the first million people who ordered it in the first 24 hours got the idea. Did you???

      Paragraphs? It is very difficult to read walls of text.

      English went out the window, as well. It is even more difficult to read grammar-hating walls of text.

      Also, you spend a lot of time enlisting features (a fault perpetuated also by your fellow ITGS-ers), but do not really discuss anything.

    There are two things in life one must have: health and an iPhone 4S. Why? The answer cannot be more simpler than the fact that more is better. First the price tag of iPhone 4S with no contract is $649 which is nothing considering what it offers in return. The selling point of iPhone 4S is the new ARM A5 dual-core processor which does not make it as fast as iPad 2 but it will handle game graphics a lot better than previous issues of iPhone. Another great improvement of course is the 5-way lens on the camera. It can now handle full HD video recording and taking photos at the same level as the regular professional cameras. iPhone 4S does not yet support Estonian interface but at least the Emoji language keyboard is supported. So those who do not like or cannot TALK to Siri which does not support any languages other than English, French and German, can use their fingers to input their messages to the mighty iPhone 4S in the language they prefer like Wubihua for example. Now coming back to the question we proposed in the beginning why are there only two things in life one must have, we can say that health is self explanatory as one cannot live without one. But what about iPhone 4S, first of all it is well known that all humans pursue happiness and as happiness is owning iPhone (source: http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/29/happiness-is-owning-the-iphone/) we can say people with the newest iPhone are most certainly the happiest.

    “Love is in the air.” People need love to be able to reproduce which is a key element of life. Now that iCloud is also in the air there is no room left for love. But why would one need love in the air if one can take a photo of the loved one and it would be automatically uploaded to Apple servers and it can be accessed from anywhere? The answer is love is now in iPhone 4S as it has all of ones games, photos, friends, secrets, movies – in one word all of ones entertainment. Therefore if everything is in iPhone 4S and it makes people happy then why does one wait and not purchase this miracle now.

      Quite a bit of irony being used in your text obviously, as well. Maybe a more moderate analysis of the situation would also yield the same answer?

      Comments regarding some details:

      The iPad 2 has the exact same A5 chip, as far as I know.

      Emoji – This is part of the OS, older iPhones also have it.

      Happiness – to better make your point, use an actual study (surely they exist) saying that people with “The latest iPhone” are happier than
      a) people without iPhones
      b) people with older iPhones

      Right now, the post (kind of) makes the point that iPhones are awesome, but doesn’t really single out the 4S specifically.

      The question is: is the price tag reasonable in the context of what you are getting? Maybe a more level-headed discussion would provide more productive answers. Such as the piece is, an irony-ladden rant, it lacks the sophistication required from an HL student!

    3GS vs 4S 

    As a 3GS user I feel that it’s very necessary to upgrade to iPhone 4S. I actually have number of reasons.

    Firstly, the Apple A5 processor. What this gives me is the power of iPad 2 in a smaller device, technically it should mean I have more power than the iPad 2. This in turn means that 4S will run iOS 5 better than 3GS, however iOS 5 on 3GS is something I still have to test.

    Secondly, Siri. It seems like an interesting and fun thing to play with and could actually turn out to be quite useful if it indeed works like the ads show. If it does then the lazyness factor will actually boost my productivity – constant connection with my phone seems like science fiction, the future is now! Only drawback is that you will be having constant one-sided conversations with yourself – in the public.

    Thirdly, my 3GS has near-totally replaced my digital camera, however my 3GS lacks stabilization and flash thus leading to lower picture quality when compared with the sigital camera. 4S will fix that problem – higher quality pictures in every aspect whilst keeping the comfortable size.

      But is it all worth the money, that’s the real question. In hindsight, I don’t think you have upgraded yet?

      What does it mean to have more power than the iPad 2? How will the laziness factor improve productivity? Will Siri make you work on your ITGS project with greater haste? If yes, then maybe you just volunteer to become somebody’s slave, as clearly you lack any desire to motivate yourself and are completely dependant on external motivation?
